Small Town Girl

I would be amiss if I failed to mention one of my favorite towns near San Antonio. Boerne (pronounced Ber-nie) is a small town a bit Northwest of San Antonio and only about a15 min drive from where we live. This little town quickly won my heart and I spent many happy afternoons exploring the town and walking along the river.

I feel so lucky to have found this little town. Well, I guess I need to say I feel so lucky to have a spouse that knows what makes me tick. Shortly after moving to San Antonio, David noticed I was feeling a bit out of sorts. As I struggled to verbalize what had me feeling off, he quickly realized I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. Although we live outside the city limits of San Antonio- we literally are just minutes away from most anything you could possibly need or want. This isn’t a bad thing, but I missed small town life. I needed to be in a space that was a little more rural and a little more green. David assured me that he knew exactly what I needed and bustled me and Frodo off to what quickly became one of our favorite spots. We’ve spent many afternoons taking Frodo on his daily walk, but we’ve also fed the ducks, shared several meals, visited the craft fair, explored the downtown area, and even watch a sunset or two.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words- so I’m not going to drone on and on, but instead share some of our memories in the following photos:
